Below you will find some useful tips on how to reduce waste and recycle more. <strong>THANK YOU FOR SORTING AND RECYCLING ALSO DURING CHRISTMAS TIME!<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Put\u00a0<strong>ham grease<\/strong>\u00a0in a tight container and then to the mixed waste inlet. Grease should not be poured down the sink or into the toilet, because it can clog the pipes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Food waste<\/strong>\u00a0belongs to the biowaste inlet, not in the toilet.<\/li>\n<li>Dispose of <strong>stearin, candle remnants, and glass candle holders<\/strong> in mixed waste.<\/li>\n<li>Place the <strong>chocolate box<\/strong> in cardboard recycling, <strong>plastic wrappers<\/strong> and the <strong>plastic tray<\/strong> in plastic packaging recycling. <strong>Aluminum wrappers<\/strong> that stay crumpled when squeezed should be sorted into metal recycling.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wrapping paper<\/strong>\u00a0is mixed waste. It does not qualify as paper or cardboard for recycling purposes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Aluminum foils<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>tea light candle shells<\/strong>\u00a0belong to the metal section of the recycling room.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Broken LED candles and light sets<\/strong>\u00a0belong to electrical waste collection<\/li>\n<li><strong>New Year\u2019s lead tin<\/strong>\u00a0is hazardous waste. Tin is collected free of charge in HSY hazardous waste containers and Sortti-stations, or you can use it again next new year.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Flatten cardboard<\/strong>\u00a0boxes before placing them in the trolley (in the Recycling room).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Old Christmas trees<\/strong> will be collected 1-2 times per week<strong> during January. See more from the separete bulletin!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Waste bins will not be emptied on Christmas, so collections may happen a day earlier or later than usual, including on weekends.
