According to the HSY<\/strong> study conducted in 2024<\/a>, approximately 70% of the mixed waste generated by households in the Helsinki metropolitan area consisted of materials that could have been sorted into separate collection streams.<\/strong> The impact on the housing costs of an individual housing company depends on the amount of waste it generates and the billing principles applied.<\/p>\n
